Bringing the Contemporary Portuguese Cuisine to the Hong Kong Dining Scene Casa Lisboa Gastronomia Portuguesa with a brand new concept launches in Central.
The much coveted Portuguese Restaurant Casa Lisboa returns in mid July with an all new style and brand new decor on 2/F, Parekh House, 63 Wyndham Street in Central after a hiatus in Hong Kong for a good half year.
The all new Casa Lisboa is proud to be home to the rising “ Contemporary Portuguese Cuisine ”, which has been a Portuguese dining trend with a growing popularity in Portugal.
The reinvention of traditional Portuguese dishes with meticulous cooking techniques as well as contemporary presentation is the up and coming trend in Portugal.
Customers will be able to catch the taste of Portugal at doorstep with Casa Lisboa’s brand new menu prepared in contemporary style with exquisite looks and fresh ingredients imported from Portugal, while the dishes still preserve the longstanding original Portuguese elements.
The relaunch of Casa Lisboa presents to the guests Portuguese fare with a whole new level of sophistication that will turn over a new leaf in the Portuguese cuisine in Hong Kong.
Contemporary Portuguese Dishes
In this new concept, Casa Lisboa offers customers more refined Portuguese dishes with higher quality of ingredients at an affordable price.
Customers will be surprised by the new dishes, such as Portuguese Octopus Confit ($280) that is infused with Moscatel wine through steam cooking, Piri-Piri Quail $180 with the unconventional new choice of quail from France instead of chicken with a smoky rosemary aroma, A5 Grade Flamed-grilled Chuck Rib $380 inspired by traditional beef sandwich “ Preguinhos ”, the fisherman’s dish Algarve Red Prawn $280 made with an assortment of tomatoes of different origins, “ Chocolates with Bread ” $80 inspired by Portuguese’s favourite children’s snack as well as Pineapple, Vanilla Ice-cream & Pistachio Sponge Raviolis $75 from the Azores islands.
Classic Signature Dishes
The brand new menu also features several hugely popular signature dishes of which customers have remembered fondly in a different presentation, such as Suckling Pig Slow Roasted “ À Bairrada ” $260, Duck Rice Lisboa Style $180, Codfish Cakes $95, Portuguese Brown Crab “ Sapateira ” $155 and Stuffed Baby Squids $120.
Portuguese Wine List
To go with the succulent dishes, Casa Lisboa has commissioned a mixologist to create a number of specifically formulated Portuguese cocktails, including Ginja Sour $98, Truffenia $98, Ginuary $98, Boulavardier $88 and Brovarde Smash $98. The wine list of Casa Lisboa is also not to be missed! Featuring more variety than ever, a whooping total of 70 Portuguese Red, White, Green, Port and Sparkling wines with a number of them exclusive to Casa Lisboa are available.
The new location, decorated in a colour tone of blue and white, sits 50 guests. With a daylight harvesting design featuring extra large windows, the entire venue benefits from natural lighting during the day. With an overall modern design, the diner adopts an open kitchen with marble-top bar tables.
A semi-private VIP room is also available to customers at the brand new venue of the Portuguese diner with a modern vibe.
The rebranding of Casa Lisboa with the new concept of “ Contemporary Portuguese Cuisine ” was brought to life together by the new executive chef Fábio Pombo and the group executive chef of Advance Caterers Limited Jesus Pascual.
Uniting Fabio’s extensive experience in Portuguese cuisine with Jesus’ knowledge of the local catering industry, the two envision the new Casa Lisboa to introduce and popularise “ Contemporary Portuguese Cuisine ”, which has yet to be a new trend in Hong Kong and Asia.
